As the primary source of information, a basic tool indispensable tool of communication and to participate socially or construct subjectivities, the written word plays a central role in the contemporary world. However, thinking about reading and writing is usually reserved for the field of teaching or research university. It is clear that the picture is not the most propitious circumstances each time we are more adverse.
And why, precisely, we must widen the untamed frontier in which reading becomes the best habits for all they have on hand a book, we must build a new imagery, to recover a sense, to set free cities where there is culture itself, to re-learn that we can understand through the traces or marks that are left in the path of each.
In a confluence of different interests and perspectives, where reading is a public space for things not to remain in the interest of a few. Today more than ever, we bet on reading, because the word is a bridge between different worlds, but complementary.
Fortunately, words, smiles, faces of amazement and eyes of many readers to fill us with hope and confirm that we are not alone with the conviction that reading helps us be better human beings. It is time for analysis and reflection, of new questions, to assess intentions translated into action, to recover experiences, to recognize flaws and weaknesses to turn things around, to strengthen commitments and partnerships to take on new challenges.
The country's situation is difficult for all but the initiative to promote reading is very large and therefore, is just the time to redouble efforts to be closer, to share ideas, to grow together and be professionals to fulfill the mission that unites us: to train more and more readers to interact with their environment and take ownership of reading daily so rewarding.
Reading is a silent dialogue mediated inflammatory pages of any book, is a source of recreation and access door to other universes. Because reading is a practice that can enrich the interior and come through the books to the true source of knowledge.
