Eating too much white bread, potatoes or rice, among other foods with high glycemic index, may be causing damage in the liver of many people, according to a recent research. Due to unawareness of the problem by the public, which considers these healthy foods, the researchers who conducted the study refer to those evils as a "silent epidemic."
Carbohydrates have a particular index glucose, according to their rate of digestion, which are digested more quickly have a high rate and represent a higher glucose levels and increased fat deposition.
